Cooling system

Today driving my car it started to get a little warm. It was hanging out between the N and the O on the gauge. But the interesting thing is that when I pulled over and was sitting in a parking lot doing something the gauge went back down to the top of the A. I replaced the water pump earlier in the year and before I just start replacing parts I thought I would post on here to get some ideas.

next thing i would do is a flush and replace the thermostat. make very sure that you fill the cooling system correctly. follow the directions that are on the sticker under your hood. :facesjump

Thanks... Thats what I was thinking but wanted to get a second opinion on it. Any idea on what type of thermostat I should use? Is there any good high flow ones out there or lower temp ones?
