Just wondering how would our Marks fare against a Nissan 350Z, Infinity G35, Toyota Supra, Acura NSX?

if your talking about stock for stock, i think the only close race would be against the G35, we would still lose but would defiantly give it a run. all the others, IMO is out of our class.

i raced a g35 on my way to work yesterday. i floored it all the way till 115. i was appx 4-5 car lengths ahead of him when he gave up.

I concur. I raced a G35 out at the drag strip, a sedan, and I beat him off the line and he never quite edged me out. I think my reaction time beat him that day.

I completely smoked a 350Z on the highway last month, he fell back at 115.

yeah, the Z falls off at arround 100, but the G35, na...my uncle has the 6 spd one....we raced up in the pocono mountians, and i whooped but, but i have heard that the mark is better on hills than most cars of similar specs. That could just have been someone BS'n me, but i heard it. so, i will always be able to say i beat the g35 with a lincoln :)

beware of some I got a video of a G35 coupe eating a vette *owned* of course its a Twin Turbo G35 hehe

Yea, G35 Coupe is probably a bit heavier due to its luxury features either way I would watch out for any of the cars they are actually very good cars and not "Rice Beaters" and can all be made to have some power they are all RWD to.

i never said anything of the sort. i said that the 350 falls off in the hundreds, never said the g didnt either, and yes, they do have the same motor and trans, but its like an LSC vs non LSC. some things are done to give the 350's more power.

if we put the amount of money in to a Mk that those people pay for one of those cars, stock, you could beat them hands down ;)

more HP does not make it faster a 200HP bike will smoke A 400hP VETT.

JUST TODAY... 350z and I pull up to a light... One of those 2 lanes go straight and about 1/3 mile up they merge to one... So sombody has to back off...

Dry this afternoon here in NJ... TC is Off... I'm watching for the Yellow on the cross street, dude has looked over a coupla times... Light goes green and we launch. I think I got a better jump than he did, but after 60ft, he was viewing my XpansionX II mufflers :N

I'm responding to the original post, and I agree that stock for stock those cars could likely take ours....but.....Are non-turbo supra's that quick? The only supra I've ever been in was from the 80's.....and didn't really wow me (and it had turbo). I sure wouldn't test an nsx or a 350z....not untill my horses approach that #. :ricesmile

dude, don't worry, you can take a 350z on the highway. not an nsx tho. also, turbo supras from the 80's have a different engine -the last gen 2jze (i think that's the model number) is :q:q:q:qing insane - over 800 hp on stock internals is possible.

I beat a 350Z at the drag strip last year. I ran a 14.8 to his 14.7, but I won because I beat him off the line. He was at my rear tire the last half of the track not even gaining on me at all.
