OK - So what should I buy?

Im in the market for one, maybe 2 cars.

SO lets here everyone's thoughts. What should I buy? I already have a 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII - so I dont want another Gen One (im keeping my current beloved 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII) - My brother drives the Town Car.

One car will be primarily for my Wife to Drive. -- If I get 2, one of the three will become a 'Play car" that I can do mods on and really make into a car for show.

Im thinking about these -

1997-1998 Lincoln Mark VIII
Cadillac STS (not a new one - 1995 - 2002)
Lincoln LS (not a new one - 2000-2001)
Lincoln Town Car (not a new one 1996-2000)

I will only buy a Lincoln or a Cadllac.

Cost is a factor - I dont want to spend 20k on a singe car.

I would like to know why you suggest the model you suggest.

GO W/ the LS!!!! It's has lots of options:
1. Supercharger availiable
2. Three body kits availiable,
3. Intake/Exhaust mods
4. Cosmetic Mods - www.lskoncepts.com
5. Depreciation on the LS is pretty bad - so you'll be able to get one cheap
6. PCM cracked so able to reprogram computer which will allow you to change shifting points, HP+++++, Reprogram speedo to any size tire, etc...
7. other things

nah, have my choice already if I get another Gen 1 -

M hesitation on the LS is ability to do much performance whise, but the cosmetic upgrades available are a plus...

There is a supercharger availiable soon for it, plus the PCM flasher... But without those (including the CAI and exhaust) the engine is pretty maxed out'

I would look into the Shelby Cobra that is being unveiled at the NY Auto Show!!!!
Of course that goes against the Lincoln/Caddy ONLY requirement and the 20K.

BUT, if they are absolute requirements... You can/will find many Gen-2 MK8's cheap!
I recently saw a couple '98s in NY/NJ area with very low (30K) miles going for under 10K.
Personally... I love the car... But I am bias..... :L

I'll give you my biased opinion. Gen2 Mark VIII. Here is a break down of why the Mark is my choice though....

STS = FWD, so that would be out for me
LS = not enough bolt-ons for a "play" car - granted the supercharger is coming, but do you want to spend 3-5k at once on a mod? It sound like you are looking for inexpensive bolt-on fun.
Town Car = SOHC 4.6 < DOHC 4.6

not even half as sharp as my neighbors town car, its that signature series...like ruby red, with chrome and gold accents with a coal black vynal top on her, and a mix of gold and chrome rims...its amazing looking. I think it was 1:1 built. completly custom ordered, i think they said 62k for the build of it.

Buy a MK VIII and do for real what I did to this one in my photo editing program.
I think it looks hot and would defenitely be a one of a kind.

I noticed the 95-02 STS, Why get an STS when you can get a 95-02 Continental, yeah there front wheel drive, but they have 275-280hp with the Intech V8. I think their much nicer than the STS.
