i havent personally looked at the start system but I will check alldata.com in a bit to see what is involved. However, isnt tehre a start solenoid on most cars?

I know it might sound stupid, but i wonder if your having problems with the pats key. Check and see if the red light on the dash goes on and off again when you put the key in.. Would you still be able to turn the key over if it was going bad though..

not stupid at all. I think this has occured before maybe even a tsb on it. Most of the pinpoint test are centered on voltage to the starter or solenoid, checking the contacts, PATS/anti-theft system etc.

Check the battery for corrosion. The pin point test has a lot of steps and requires a volt meter and remote start switch. It might be worth taking it to the dealer and have them troubleshoot the problem and you make the repair if you have some basic tools.

That is exactly what I was thinking should have it looked at.
