I tried buying new rear shocks for my 93 mark 8... but when i removed the cardboard cover from the trunk I saw that the ones that were in there had a "sensor" attachment... can I still use the regular shocks? or is there a less expensive way of installing the correct shocks? Can I use ones from a T-bird or any different car that might have similar suspention?

Santo, I had this very question last month. See this thread (http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=5492&highlight=gman)
I assume that you are buying aftermarket shocks. If so, you will have to get the shock mounts from the dealer. They are the only ones that have them. Another thing you will have to do is buy smaller bolts. The bolts in the stock shock is much bigger.
