i have a 2000 ls with stock deck... i want to install my pioneer deck because of the sub output controls and the advanced options.

does anyone know if i can make the stock disc changer work with it?

can i get the steering wheel controls to work without a remote bs thing , i want it hardwired?

thanks guys

I believe you can get a convertor to make the CD changer work with an aftermarket deck - try this page -> http://www.logjamelectronics.com/forlinmer.html

the steering wheel inputs are a 'standard' but the connectors are not. I have not found an adapter - just these types -> http://www.logjamelectronics.com/forlinmer.html which are the BS thing you mentioned.

honestly they are kinda expensive, but i dont want to have to remount another one under the passenger seat, and i love having it now that i do.

those adapters will go from factory disc changer to pioneer deck? the text on that website seemed like it was to get a pioneer disc changer into stock deck?

also - while on the topic - im big into the factory look, but i just bought a $400 pioneer deck that i love.. has anyone found a good matching install kit that is flush mount?

thanks guys - im already addicted to this place..lol

Here is the partnumber for the mounting kit - makes it look stock:
- Head unit mounting kit - PAGAN MODEL NUMBER 1943/IK-5000

You will also need:
- Harness to connect aftermarket head unit to existing wiring = Parts Express part number 265-610, Metra part number 70-1771.
