jdsimons March 21st, 2005, 07:08 PM Well i've been here for awhile now and thought heck i should post pics of my ls. I bought it about 7 months ago down in texas, Flew from nebraska to go get and loved the drive back. One thing I just noticed is the pin striping. Its hand painted and think it looks pretty sharp .. I am not sure but did the owner before me have this done or do some of them come for lincoln that way. Well noticed it when i took it to the body shop to have him look at the bumper cause i'm thinking about having it repainted, and he noticed the pin stripe and liked it.. Thats when i kinda started noticing that not none of the ls's are pin striped. but i guess i just never paid much attention was admiring just the look of em. lol
I like the color too.

The first thing i replaced a month or so ago was the passenger headlamp cause i was getting tired of looking at the fogged headlight everytime i washed it.. Just that one little thing can almost ruin the look of an awesome car, don't know why..lol.. but now that i put a new one on don't match the drivers side now, so i'm guessing if i can find another factory ford oem headlamp on ebay for another 60 bucks think i will replace the drivers side to.. The car looks like a brand new car when i just replaced the headlight.. I'm still thinking about some ideas that grayghost (Ken) has and putting some small mods in like the "LINCOLN" chrome lettering on the dash and some other small cosmetic things... Oh.. and thanks

As for the pin stripe, I think that they may have come from Lincoln that way. My 2000 LS8 has one also (Auburn Red Metallic with a tannish stripe). But the stripe is the same location and design as yours. I'll post a pic when I get home later today.
kleetus March 24th, 2005, 05:36 PM Interesting... I just looked at an '02 LSE this afternoon and it had a pin strip just above the door handles. I think It was aftermarket. 44k Miles, $13k price tag... it looks a little rough, my '00 interior is way cleaner. This car was silver and had the two tone wheels. I damn near wrecked when I caught it out of the corner of my eye...
