Tint

Well I need to do something with my Mark and I figured tint would be a good place to start. I know most of you guys are south of me but what did you pay to get tint?
The guy I got a price from will warranty for life from bubbling and peeling and he is doing the rear window in one piece, I like that idea. So here is the kicker, $300.00 bucks. I nearly fell over. Last time I had my Bronco done it was like a hundred. No really is this too much or way too much?

That's average around here for a 4 door, a bit high for a big two door like ours...
It all depends on where you go...

in my marquis (more windows) i was charged 190 for 5% on the back windows and 20% on the front doors. i'd say anything more then 200 is a rip off...and my rear window was in 1 peice.

Prices will vary from place to place. Canada will probably a little more expensive. There are various types of tint. Theres 1-ply, and two ply. Places charging around $100 or less are using 1-ply window film. This tint will start to turn purple after about two years. Two ply film will last longer, and most tinters will charge more for two ply film. There's different brand of window film as well. The big three are 3M, Madico, and Solar Guard. Tinters using 3M will charge more. These are all good film. You just have to check your tint shops and ask what film they use.

Mine was $150 and back window done in one piece with lifetime warranty. He's Asian and has been tinting for around 15 years or so.

This is him below doing the 95. He done my 94 twice but it was because I went too dark the first time. Not his fault.

Mine was $180 for the LS. I was quoted anywhere from $150-$300, and got the same quotes for my Yukon.
