Do tweeters fit flush in the door?

I brought my car by an audio shop and they said they might have to install the tweeters so they pop out of the door, rather than fitting like they should.(not enought room?) Did any of you run into this problem when installing components?

mine all fit behind the stock grills - I guess it may depend on what there are trying to do.

They should just be able to mount them either to the side of the speaker. Are you using like a component set. 5.25" round speaker. They can either place it beside or above the speaker on the door panel itself or just cut a custom baffle and widen the baffle enough to just mount the tweet on it instead of the door panel. Don't know if that is going to make sense to ya. But it should't be too hard.

you wouldnt want to put tweeters behind the grills or near the floor.... well maybe YOU would, but i wouldnt.

where i installed mine, no there was not enough room behind this panel to flush-mount the tweeters. the plastic panel is pretty flush with the metal frame underneath... so unfortunately i could not flush mount them there...
heres what mine look like:

I wasn't sure if he was wanting to put a whole in his plastic to keep it original or not..

i did, just one or 2 small screw holes. if you ever want to sell the car without the tweeters, you can find a replacement piece at a junkyard for pretty cheap. they snap off. i would say its worth it. :)

I mounted my Alpine tweeters flush. If you look behind the door panel where mine are mounted there is plenty of room. The next process for me is to remove them and paint them whith a matching interior paint so it looks for stock.
