I feel kind of slow asking this, but... how do you replace the brake lights? I could not find an opening inside of my trunk. As an engineer this is really hurting my ego... someone please help!

you have to remove the tail light from the car. remove the retainser for the trunk liner and then take the lamp assy completely out. I know it is a PITA, Pain In The :q

Dont feel bad man... this car was over engineered so unless you a certified over engineerer then you would miss 9/10ths of many more maintenance procedures.

there are 3 nuts you have to remove - you'll need a deep socket.

Quik,
do you know how to get to the third brake light?
I heard somewhere you have to open it from inside the car.

thanks.

correct.
From the rear seat face the back of the car.
place both hands on the ligth assy.
press using good down force
pull towards you about 1.5 to 2 inches

It should lift away.

You might have to keep apply great down force till you can get it to slid towards you.

you may have to use a little glue to reattach the rubber gasket the goes around the rim of the plastic (between the window and the plastic shield) when you put it back on.

start a running text file off all the tech tips. break it up in to secitons by seperating with asteriks. It can save you a lot of search time and waiting fro replies.
