micahs97m8 March 13th, 2010, 03:22 PM Those of you in NJ/NY know today has been windy and rainy. I got up this morning and blacklsc1 and I pulled a rear diff. for his toy. That's was not so bad. I then drove an hour north and traded the wife's forester for my "BRAND NEWISH" 2006 Navigator. (pics to come) So i pull it into my driveway just in time to see half of a tree (literally) fall onto my F-150 (pics also to come) and destroy my fenceline. Now, the worst part is i have only had the truck for a couple weeks and haven't tagged/titled/insured it yet!!! USAA said they may still cover it under my 30-day window, but an adjuster will decide that. Where the hell is the rewind button?:(
slowmkviii March 13th, 2010, 03:25 PM that sucks
why did you not insure the truck when you got it?
cadillackman March 13th, 2010, 03:37 PM You should be good under the 30 day mark as long as the insurance co. is reputable. that's crazy to watch that happen like that!?!
brentalan March 13th, 2010, 04:01 PM This weather sucks. Winds are up to 45 mph they say. Sorry to hear about your truck dude.
A tree fell across my road across the street from my neighbor's house. A backhoe came and pushed it down toward the train tracks.
LaserSVT March 13th, 2010, 05:27 PM :(
blacklsc1 March 13th, 2010, 05:29 PM thanks for the parts micah, the wind just ripped the siding off the side of my house and it all landed on my black mark 7 se. Just great.
micahs97m8 March 13th, 2010, 07:02 PM thanks for the parts micah, the wind just ripped the siding off the side of my house and it all landed on my black mark 7 se. Just great.
This is why no-one visits me. My bad luck is highly transferrable. :D Sorry to hear that dude. Is the paint ok?
Demoman March 13th, 2010, 10:22 PM You say USAA, are you military?
micahs97m8 March 13th, 2010, 11:45 PM Yeah. Air Force. USAA has been pretty good to me so far. I should know if they'll cover it on Mon. or Tue. They might total it. I got a pretty good look at it with a flashlight a little bit ago and it needs: both fenders, grill, headlights, passenger door, hood, and windshield. possibly front suspension issues, too. :( If they give me a check, i'll install headlights and a windshield. :D Or i might pull the 5.0 for a rebuild project and run the rest across a scale. It has 218k miles on it and not worth the full rebuild.
blacklsc1 March 14th, 2010, 09:01 AM naaa, the hood, frt fenders, header panel are all scratched. i dident get a good look at the rest of it but ill assume the rigth side of the car is scratched too.
micahs97m8 March 14th, 2010, 01:35 PM I got some pictures a few min ago. The truck is definitely being totalled. I didn't realize the damage to the roof, hood and bumper were so bad. Also throwing in a pic of the "new" Navigator. http://i561.photobucket.com/albums/ss55/micahsfamily/Storm%20pics-%2013%20Mar%202010/016-6.jpg
