loveLSE March 16th, 2005, 11:12 AM as you all may know LSE only comes in few choice of color.
what do you think about yellow.
I know someone mentioned you dont want LS taxi.
I have black on black and have been thinking about painting it to different color, either yellow or red.
what color would you like to see on LS?
eL eS March 16th, 2005, 11:16 AM Black on Black.
actually I have considered having the car repainted with the flag, US that is, over the entire car. Scaled to fit corner to corner.
GrayGhost1 March 16th, 2005, 02:03 PM My feeling is that the LS looks best in a dark color. My favorite color on any LS is the Granatelli LS. It is absolutely gorgeous and has aspiring louvers on the hood and front fenders. Not to mention a center mounted exhaust. You can read more about them here:

loveLSE March 16th, 2005, 04:06 PM whoo..
that's nice.
that dark yellow is what I want but I would do a two-tone.
dark silver/gray on the bottom.
eL eS March 16th, 2005, 06:29 PM colorful
After much thought I think it is a brilliantly colorful car. I would definitely drive it.
whatsupadrian March 16th, 2005, 09:02 PM look like a chameleon paint job with orange and yellow $$$$. There is also this cool paint that i saw at SEMA called Xposures that works like a mood ring.
http://www.alsacorp.com/products/xposurepaint/xposurepaint_prodinfo.htm
That would look really neat IMO.
luckieleo March 16th, 2005, 09:07 PM if i saw a yellow lincoln ls i would laugh. i think it would look horrible!

whatsupadrian March 16th, 2005, 09:44 PM are those lights where the exhaust cutouts are? The reverse lights look neat.
Quik LS March 16th, 2005, 11:17 PM are those lights where the exhaust cutouts are? The reverse lights look neat.
yep - they used a standard body kit - so when they up the exhaust in the center (a'la Saleen) they filled the original exhaust cutouts with those reverse lamps.

I was diggin' on that car until I came to the pic of the rear. Those lights ruin the whole look, they look like they came off a Catapillar. Seems like they could've done something nicer, like use a rear facia w/ no cutouts.

you make a great point, i think the reverse lights are too loud for the back of that car... although, i would trade mine for that one anyday!! :monkey:
jdsimons March 17th, 2005, 09:12 AM yA same here here i'd drive it.. i mean if they gave it to me but they would have to force me.. just kidding. Damn now i got some modding ideas..lol

I really like that phantom grille across the bottom but what did they do to tie it into the grill. And can you buy anything like that!!!
Oh and that car is rockin'!!!
MikeB March 17th, 2005, 11:25 AM I just whant to know how everyone is getting these superchargers to work and I don't have one yet. I know these people already went thought the fitting process that Quick is helping with right now. :soapbox:
How about making a few to sell or at least selling the specs to mass produce. :bash:
They already spent the money for R & D.
They have the car on a dyno, did any body see any hp or torque figures on their site? I couldn't find them.
These people are killing me!!!
NickLS March 17th, 2005, 11:35 AM Aren't those the 18" CDC wheels you never see anymore????
MikeB March 17th, 2005, 11:36 AM I think those reverse lights are the same ones I used on the back of my 96 fullsize Bronco with the 39 inch tires. They worked great on the Bronco in the woods but I don't think I'll use the LS for muddin. :N

Mike - they never installed the superchargers - they could not crack the PCM back then either. I saw (and touched) the car personally at SEMA - pretty colored intake and plastic engine cover - no supercharger.

I beleive you if you say they are full of :q:q:q:q, but here is what their site said.
"Engine:
3.9L engine twin turbocharged (unique)-Lincoln/GMS
Billet valve covers with “Granatelli Signature Series” engraving (new)-GMS
Billet throttle body insignia plate with “Granatelli Signature Series” engraving (new)-GMS
Custom digital fuel injection tuning (unique)-GMS
Custom silicone hoses (unique)-GMS"
crazyman March 17th, 2005, 12:04 PM Turbo, and supercharged are two very different things.

Oh I know - I got to SEMA and RAN over to their both. I looked under the hood - nothing. The rep told me that the document is the desgin concept - what they were working towards.....
PS - sorry - should have stayed on the turbo topic - that is what the specs always said.

I know, I found that yesterday and forgot it was a turbo not a sc. Whoops!

:ricesmile looks like a cross between an eclipse from the back & a mustang or something form the front...
crazyman March 17th, 2005, 12:42 PM Back on the original topic, I don't think a 2 tone yellow and grew LS would look bad. Chip Foose did an Olds in yellow and grey on overhaulin' and it looked great. I know that's 2 drastically different cars, but I hold to the idea that done right, any color can look good on any car.
dropped74 March 17th, 2005, 01:42 PM so anything on the grill
blk04lse March 17th, 2005, 01:57 PM It might depend on the paint.... Are you talking about yellow that can cost thousands a quart or the yellow for a taxi cab....
When you get into expensive paints and graphics the canvas may always look good, no matter what the canvas may be - a fire truck, VW Bug or Lincoln LS...

loveLSE March 17th, 2005, 02:37 PM yep! I saw that episode of overhauling.
that's when I got the idea of two tone, yellow and gray.
I thought it would look awesome.
I dont know how much somethign like that would cost to do.
few thousands???
itsnotmydaddys March 17th, 2005, 06:44 PM what would a good paint job cost on an ls
GrayGhost1 March 17th, 2005, 06:52 PM what would a good paint job cost on an ls
If you left it the same color around $1,500 - $2,000. If you change colors it can start anywhere from $3,000 and end around $10,000. If you change the color normally the door jams, engine compartment and trunk areas have to be painted to look good. Also, be wary of fly by night painters. In this line of work you GET what you PAY for.
