rustyrodder March 2nd, 2010, 10:03 AM purusing the classifieds on one of my mustang sites, and I found this ad. Be pretty cool to be rowing the gears in one of these, plus that extra 30hp would be nice. whats your guys take on this?
I need to get rid of this project. Has a complete running 99 Cobra Drivetrain/5speed.
Good
Body/interior in great shape Black exterior grey interior
Motor and tranny have 4X,XXX miles
Motor runs great but would probably do much better with a tune. Currently uses 93 EEC
BAd
Oil pan gasket leaks. WHen Mark VIII pan was installed SOMEBODY put the gasket in wrong.
No backhalf of exhaust installed yet. Doesnt sound all that bad
Clutch pedal out of the car. I wasnt happy with the way it was installed. Was going to redo it but have no time
Shifter close to dashboard. Was going to extend shifter but again, no time
Air bag motor works however either the vent solenoid or dryer canister oring went bad. Again easy fix but no time
Anyone interested? Needs work but would be a great project. Its gotta go

all the typical issues that have been covered many times.
people dont listen.. get halfway thru a "hack job" and then bail out and try to sell it like it's "some kind of project".
I'd buy it.. for the engine alone.. so long as the cost didn't exceed the engine alone.
Then I'd sell off all the manual conversion stuff to someone ELSE that didn't listen...
kustomizingkid March 2nd, 2010, 10:50 AM Sounds just like the silver one that was for sale about a year ago...
Mike has taken like 3 years or so to work out all the bugs on his manual swap... custom work like that doesn't come easy...

I want to do a manual swap on mine eventually. Luckily for me Mike lives like 10 miles away. So I'll have his expertise...granted he doesn't know that yet.

Screw-Rice March 2nd, 2010, 03:35 PM If you decided not to finish it, it is worth $2k in parts at least.
k9t8m March 2nd, 2010, 05:25 PM ya that was for sale about a year ago but he wanted a ton of money. I think enough of us bothered him and he finally got realistic with his asking price.
kustomizingkid March 2nd, 2010, 06:06 PM I'd buy it...
XLRVIII March 2nd, 2010, 06:15 PM 900.00 TOPS its a basket case..
regardless of intentions, unless it starts..runs and DRIVES its a pile of parts....nothing more.
dnehthend March 2nd, 2010, 06:18 PM I didn't know that a single din in-dash cd player was an option
kustomizingkid March 2nd, 2010, 06:20 PM That CD player is EXTREMELY rare...
XLRVIII March 2nd, 2010, 06:26 PM That CD player is EXTREMELY rare...
ok...925.00 tops
XLRVIII March 2nd, 2010, 06:28 PM my favorite is the uber rare "hole in the dash climate control"
and the "hangin by the wires" pcm mount
nice clean steering wheel though
richduty455 March 3rd, 2010, 03:29 PM super rare....i have one in my 94 :) thanks slickemhound
marked8 March 3rd, 2010, 03:39 PM I take it he converted from COP's back to wires because of the 93 EEC-IV? The whole thing looks like a bad hack job.
