evf4720 February 26th, 2010, 11:19 AM does anybody make an adapter to put 9005 lights in an originally hid car?
the hids went out on my 97 and i'm considering just gluing the bulbs in. i tried it on a spare housing and it worked well. but it was a pita to get back off and it just doesnt seam like a good idea to me.
i was thinking about taking the black plastic piece for the high beam off of my spare and gluing that on the lowbeam of my current fixture. i think that would work well but i only have one of those. does anybody have one of those they would like to get rid of?
i actually need a whole new drivers side housing (its EXTREMELY foggy) so if i got one of those i could use that black piece for the highbeam off of my current drivers side housing. dont have that kind of cash right now though.
any help would be great

I wouldn't do any of that. Do what's stated above & buff the headlight lense. The adapter rings are cheap.
