The screw to the throttle body that keeps the intake attached to the valves snapped in half. I search and one post came up but no information on how to remove the damn screw stuck in the valves. And what can i do about the screw it self? Can i replace it without replacing the whole intake?

I think you could get that out with a screw extractor, but you may wanna remove the TB & do it upside-down to avoid shavings in your intake.

the throttle body comes off easy, only 4 bolts hold it, take the linkage off and the tps plug on the back and it will lift right off. if you fail at removing the screw i have throttle bodies and those bolts too.

I just did mine, remove throttle body and drilled. It would not come out even with a easy out, so I drilled it to where I could screw the new one in that I got from Jamie and apoxy it also for some added strength.

Epoxied the screw extension piece into the throttle body, it did thread in but not where I would trust it. Did not epoxy the top bolt through the intake duct to that extension piece.

I dont see no need to ever have to take the extension piece out of the throttle body, and if for some reason does need to come out I am sure Jamie would have a throttle body.

Its pretty common for them to break like that.... I had to buy a new one for my old 93 because of that.... that bolt is a piece of crap design.

i have used this before and it works great. should be able to find to at sears or auto parts stores.

Hey guys for any others that later get this problem...I grabbed one of the metal clips that get tightened with a screw from home depot(like the one attached to the other end of the intake). There is rubber around the throttle body. Take that off and attach it to the intake. Tighten on to intake using the metal clip. Push it on to the throttle body and now you never have to worry about the damn screw. However, I'm not sure at how durable this is. But it's on there pretty good.
