The set you have on now, did you buy it new? What's going on with it?

You need t-bird springs, four poly spring isolators (99+) from laurel mountain mustang and two center caps with a stud in the center for locating the spring. Not that hard...

Do the springs fit the poly isolators? The upper perch is your only problem?

Post some pics.

yea the springs and poly's fit perfectly. the top mount when inserted seems as though it will fall through.

I know it's not cheap, but it is the best option. I can make them today and ship them tomorrow via USPS priority for $150.

i appreciate the offer but i can get a full kit for 200....... they seem very well made though. not having a job limits my options.

That is sweet!
even if I dont like coil conversions, that is a nice piece DLF well worth the money.

Thanks! I also make the UHMW lower perches (http://home.comcast.net/~dlfraleigh/Delrin/UHMW.html). I've been making them quite a while now for the T-Bird crowd that wanted to changeover to Mark VIII LCA's. Then I had a couple of people ask me to make them full sets of upper and lower perches ($300 ) for Mark VIII spring conversions using T-Bird springs. Takes several hours to make each one, and the material isn't cheap, but I don't think there's anything nicer out there.

You could always cut the upper perch off of a t-bird or cougar and weld it to the unibody of the mark VIII. Thats what I did on my 93. Once the air ride went to crap I did the permanent coil conversion and never looked back. When it got totalled my an old lady jacked up on heart meds, while parked in front of my own house, I parted it out. The upper mounts are still on the unibody, but I sold the rest of the coil conversion kit along with 2 snow flake center caps to Mannie. He put them on his gen2 and loves them like I did.

So cheap solutions, find an MN12 at the junkyard and hack off the upper mounts, you'll see how easily they fit on the mark, it was meant to be... just tack them in place.

Or snow flake center caps, drill a hole in the center and mount them where the locating pin was.

2 weeks ago when I was at the bone yard there was a 98 with spring conversions on. Rears were still entact. The coils were red if that means anything. One of the fronts was out inside the car while the other front was still entact.

Dunno if it's still there as I'm assuming it still is.
