For the past month ive been wondering whats the matter w/ my car and to may guess i belive it is my transmition. When ever im just driving along normaly no hotroding and it shifts into 2nd or 3rd gear i belive 30mph or 40mph and it just feel reel wierd when it shifts. Also when i park it seems to always role forward 3 to 5 inches every time so if anyone would know what the problem could be please inform me and also if anyone would know how much it would cost thanks.

Ok.. this is the Conti board so we'll assume you're talking about a Conti.
* Is this an older 70's, 80's or maybe newer 90's, 00's ??
* How many miles have you racked up on your drivetrain?
* Do you have the transmission fluid filled to the proper marking on the dipstick?
* Any idea how often the fluids were changed, trans. fllush?

Are you parking on hills, and are you using your emergency brake? Sounds like all you need for the rolling, would be to re-adjust your emergency brake.

What do you mean by it feels real weird when it shifts? Is it banging into gear, is it jerking the car?
