:p Knew that would grab some peoples attention. :D

In the 96-98 Cobras our engines are hand made by two guys. What about in the Mark? Were they hand made too or just run down an assembly line like all the other 2V 4.6's?

I couldn't tell ya... However I can tell you the Cobra engine in my Cobra is hand built. :p

cobra motors were assembled by "two man teams" not by "two men".

There were far more than two SVT engine builders, if you notice the names on the plaques they are different...not just the same names over and over.

I would assume it was an assembly line run, wouldn't ours have signatures on them as well if built by hand?

You could always take it out, tear it apart, and put it back together if it made you feel better to have an engine "built by hand."

nah probably not..
Lincoln Mark 8 owners aren't really "enthused" about vain things like plaques...like the mustang crowd is.

ANYTHING to make a mustang owner feel his car is "Special".. ya know?

it's marketing at it's best

Hell.. Lincoln tried to HIDE the entire motor from the owners

I know that. I have had 4 Cobras and they were all built by different teams.... although two of them had McIntyre on the build team. My 03 SB Coupe and my 03 Anv Vert........ or was it the 97..... I forget for obvious reasons.

Cobra engines were built by 2 2 man teams. My dad supervised them at romeo. And most of the 32v were hand rebuilt, because they has so many mess ups, lvl (low volume line) spent 7 12's fixing them for almost 2 years straight.

Actually it was a big honnor for the guys that hand built them. Alot of people applied for the job but only 4 were selected. Well if your cobra motor did break atleast you had to names to swear at, lol.
