Ehm!!! Sorry gentlemen, I just had a great day today washing/waxing my car. Had not washed it in over 2 months since the transmission issue. I'll post pics tomorrow of the flawless, glossy paint after I waxed it.

What soap?
Did you use the two bucket method?
Claybar?
What wax?

No need for claybar, the paint is flawless, it was just dirty. Used plenty of soap. (NO BUCKET! That's just rubbing dirty soap all over the car.) I pour a cap of soap into the towel I use for each section, I completely rinse off the towel once I'm done with that section & repeat all over again.
I used Meguiars MXT EXTREME cleaner/polish wax solution. I just switched over to Meguiars after testing it & showing amazing results. It was more expensive than the car itself, lol... but well worth it.

Yes I do, when I turn tight corners they rub BAD on the upper control arms. When the car lowers from the rear they tuck into the fender & jam themselves in there but as long as I do everything correctly I avoid all of the above at all times.

Sorry man... oh did I mention I was in shorts yesterday while I was washing my car? lol.:D

Claybar is always worth it... trust me... I have never EVER detailed a car that didn't need clay bar before the finish was ready to take wax...

Even the front porch has bars, LOL. You have a lot of crime in your area? I even see a camera on the corner of the house.

It's MIAMI baby! That's the life we live. The area is concidered nice but the bad boys come from the bad neighborhoods looking into areas like this to grab whatever they can et their hands on. 2 years ago my grandfather was mugged for his chain right in front of this very house while he was bringing the garbage bin back in hte property. SUCKS!

KK - if he's done a clay bar in the last 6 months, he shouldn't need to do it for every wash, right?
The reason I ask is because I do the clay bar just twice a year. Mostly because it's time consuming.

Personally I clay before I wax everytime... but that is because I'm rediculous :D
That being said now I can use a super fine clay and it takes me 15 minutes max to do the whole car... if you keep up on your maintinence it goes much quicker!
I wax my car at LEAST once a month...
