Gilby959798 January 27th, 2010, 06:43 PM lol the car is blue... dont want the sticking out like a sore thumb look of red sorry just not my style for this car... k9t8m January 27th, 2010, 07:25 PM Red. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/attachments/c6-dealer-inventory/47625318d1214000390-beautiful-2007-lemans-blue-z06-available-1g1yy26e775130051_2.jpg NYC LS8 January 27th, 2010, 07:27 PM Black with silver or white lettering. Unless you're rocking a big brake kit or something, there's no point in calling attention to tiny calipers. That's just my opinion. Gilby959798 January 27th, 2010, 07:37 PM its the cobra breaks... cobra calipers that say cobra shiryu0 January 27th, 2010, 07:46 PM red.... LaserSVT January 27th, 2010, 08:12 PM All your options are lame... Wow. Guess I am teh lame. :( Gilby959798 January 27th, 2010, 08:20 PM lol your the reason i was going to paint them... right now the are grey with white letters but i thought maybe i would spruce them up a bit... but i didnt go for the bullet calipers :P DLF January 27th, 2010, 09:55 PM You should just get some REAL calipers (in red, of course). I like the idea of '98 Cobra wheels though. ;) Dmaup January 27th, 2010, 10:13 PM I vote red also... kustomizingkid January 27th, 2010, 10:25 PM Wow. Guess I am teh lame. :( His car is blue... white is different... BAD97LSC January 27th, 2010, 10:42 PM red wont look good on a blue car. red on any other color would work, but not blue. i say do them titanium. jrherald420 January 27th, 2010, 11:00 PM Anything silver or grey will just look like new calipers. I say a copper color or just go black with colored lettering. Gilby959798 January 27th, 2010, 11:12 PM yeah its not like its a vette... in my opinion the car is too dark for a color like red... but i do like the titanium idea... probably blue with silver letters LaserSVT January 27th, 2010, 11:14 PM You should just get some REAL calipers (in red, of course). I like the idea of '98 Cobra wheels though. ;) Would have loved that kit but that would have run me an additional $600 and really I didnt need that much brake..... that and I hear the seals on those pistons cant take much heat and the rotors can pop when used at the track. If I came into some mone though I would prolly figure some way to fit my fronts on the rear and put those on the nose. :D DLF January 27th, 2010, 11:45 PM I've got Brembo's on all three of my cars (two for over 8 years) and never had any issues. If they're good enough for Ferrari, they're good enough for me. Gilby959798 January 27th, 2010, 11:49 PM You should just get some REAL calipers (in red, of course). I like the idea of '98 Cobra wheels though. ;) lol im a college kid on a budget... im making use of the parts that i already have since i have the 98 cobra as well it saves me money in the rims... poniesviii January 27th, 2010, 11:58 PM Wow. Guess I am teh lame. :( Yours are more silver than grey Bill, at least on my screen.. and they look great. I'd go with silver like Bill. Or metallic Grey. Or gloss black. 1bad4.6l January 28th, 2010, 12:07 AM Silver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 98lincmk7lsc January 28th, 2010, 04:25 AM I like red.... Of course, my car is black, so it's a little different :D http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ClJiOtKu3Z0/SzKvpCBN4sI/AAAAAAAAAJI/HmJW_xMSFN8/s800/IMG_0688.JPG k9t8m January 28th, 2010, 07:23 AM If im going to as much trouble as to paint them, I want them to stick out. LaserSVT January 28th, 2010, 10:26 AM I've got Brembo's on all three of my cars (two for over 8 years) and never had any issues. If they're good enough for Ferrari, they're good enough for me. Not saying they are not good and that I wouldnt sacrifice KK on the virgin alter for a set, what I am saying is that I have read many times on the Mustang boards that the old Cobra R Brembo kit had two issues but both are track related. One was the piston seals melt and are not replaceable. Two was that the rotors crack and explode under hard lapping. The 2000R in LMRs showroom was retired from racing because its rotor exploded and put the car off the track breaking its nose air damn. Ford has only 2 left in existance and sent LMR one of them but said no way in hell they can have the last one known to exist so they retired the car so they wouldnt dammage it and not be able to put OEM parts back on it. Yours are more silver than grey Bill, at least on my screen.. and they look great. I'd go with silver like Bill. Or metallic Grey. Or gloss black. I know for a fact that the pistons seals are replaceable, as I have done it. The set currently on my LSC spent its first eight years on my SC, and then I rebuilt and repainted them. p.s. Sorry to hijack the thread..... LaserSVT January 28th, 2010, 11:42 AM I know for a fact that the pistons seals are replaceable, as I have done it. The set currently on my LSC spent its first eight years on my SC, and then I rebuilt and repainted them. p.s. Sorry to hijack the thread..... Good to know! Now I wont worry when I buy a set. :) ....... Wait, are those the 2000R versions or are the Brembos normal high quality 4 piston kits? Gilby959798 January 28th, 2010, 03:55 PM the calipers are grey with white letters now... guess that was an easy job and they will match the calipers that are on the cobra... poniesviii January 28th, 2010, 03:58 PM Cool. I bet they look good Gilby. Gilby959798 January 28th, 2010, 06:38 PM yeah now i have to get a wheel (just for you frog)... :( one of mine is bent on the lip... probably running to summit tomorrow... oh how nice it is to go to school 10 mins away from summit racing... anyone need anything while im there? slowmkviii January 28th, 2010, 06:43 PM gray with blue lettering to match the cars color | |||||
