So I put the 94 into gear the other day and I felt something hit my leg, when i got to work and went to put the car in park the shifter button was missing. I found it, but one of the tabs is broken off. Anyone have one?

Do you want a chrome button? I have a shifter that came out of a 98, black leather with the chrome button. I would rather sell the entire shifter and all. I'll have to go out in the garage and make sure I still have it out there but the last time I looked, it was.

I dont think the second gen knob is the same as the first gen....I dont think they will swap.

with that said, what is your fire sale price on the knob?

thanks no limit, but i think they're different, just really trying to get a button, don't feel like changing out a shifter again...lol

you have to take the shifter knob off anyway you cant just stick a new button in it, so either way you have to pull the knob off again. your button shot out because the plastic tab that slides inside the shifter knob that holds the button in, broke, thats why it shot out. when the knob is off, there is a plastic pin that comes out of the stem of the shifter shaft, that white plastic pin slips into a hole on the end of the shifter button, when that plastic breaks the button is no longer held on by that white pin so it will come out of the shifter knob.

I don't know how different they are, but I have a complete gen2 shifter sitting in my garage. If you want it, come and get it. Maybe you could just use the button out of it.

gen 2 knobs wont even remotely work in a gen 1, this was covered up a few lines!! rich what color is it, i may have a know, or i might have a nasty one with a good button.
