Looks nice and clean. I love that champagne color too. It's not an LSC model though, don't let the seller talk it up.

I see why you want to swap interiors with the 94. That is clean. My 00ps your 94 was pretty clean I thought but this is fantastic. Hey if we are ever at a meet together which I expect we will be. We better not park together LOL.

They will get mixed up!!!

Hey once again it was really nice meeting you. Let me know when you get your Stang ready to race. I'd like to drive over and watch you race! Might have to bring a few more Midwest members, as I know after they see your tallents and get to know you they will also want to get in on the fun!!

PM me your track infromation if it has a website. I'd like to see their calendar.

Granted this is the first time I've used Carfax but this is what is in car fax on my 95 Mark VIII.

Good News -- Vehicle qualifies for the CARFAX Buyback Guarantee! No severe problems (major accidents, fire, flood damage, major odometer problems or lemon history) were ever reported by a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for this 1995 LINCOLN MARK VIII/LSC (1LNLM91V0SY611310). If you find that any of these severe problems were reported by a DMV and not included in this report, CARFAX will buy this vehicle back.

You must register at www.CARFAX.com to activate this free guarantee!

He loves telling people that they don't have real LSC's, he did it to me too :) No matter what the title or papers say

Carfax listed it as an LSC...

What am I missing?Don't sweat it. The only real changes are the rear end ratio, (I actually prefer the 3:08's(7's) vs the 3:27's for the freeway.

The seats would have the perforations on the seating surface, (makes a nice sponge for spilled drinks), and the exhaust is a 2 into 2 vs a 2 into 1 into 2 design.

If I know you, you'll probably end up changing the exhaust anyway.

You probably munch popcorn and beef jerky and slurp Big Gurbs while driving so the seats won't do you any favors.

And the exhaust is the exhaust. This car needs a decent cat back exhaust anyway.

So, don't sweat the details. Enjoy. You could always beat the guy over the head if it was misrepresented for a couple bucks, but I don't know the situation so I really can't comment, even though I just did.http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com//images/icons/icon12.gif

I'm not sure what you mean.

What are the differences between an LSC model and a Base model?

The LSC edition had perforated leather seats, true dual exhaust, slightly lower gearing, badging, and on the 95-96 models, included the HID upgrade. Some chrome trim was also painted body color on the 2nd Gen cars, such as the grille. Suspension tuning (anti-roll bars, and possibly shock valving) was firmer on the LSC models as well. The LSC models were rated by Ford at 290 HP versus 280 HP for the base model, and have a 3.27 vs. 3.07 rear end gear. The speed limiting function of the powertrain module kicks in at what many people think is 124 mph, versus 130 mph on the Base model. This is probably due to a function to keep the driveshaft below a certain rotational speed.

If your car has the features mentioned above, it's an LSC. Yours doesn't, so it's not.

Allow me to explain the reason Carfax reports all 93-96 cars as an LSC/Diamond Anniversary. Lincoln did not designate a unique VIN code for each model trim until 97-98. Since Carfax uses VINs to determine a car's model and trim, it cannot distinguish between a Base, LSC, and Diamond Anniversary. It just calls it a LINCOLN MARK VIII/LSC/DIAMND ANIV. Common mistake, no big deal. The differences are too obvious to worry about.

I actually had no problems keeping the interior clean believe it or not, and that is in the snow belt of west Michigan with it being driven most every day. It looks damn good too, just a step behind ebony IMO.

Hey Sif, now it is time to save for my Mark VII!! Can't go long with out it!! :Beer

Oh thanks all, can't wait to pick this one up. Then about 900 to 1000 miles of getting to know here.

Who can I visit along the way? I'll be heading from Charleston SC on the 24th.

I don't think all the '95(LSC's) had the HID's, just the 95-1/2s. I could be wrong. And I think the chrome looks nicer anyway. I haven't seen a dyno of a stock LSC putting down more to the wheels than a stock base, so I don't know if the 290 vs 280 translates into RWHP. The snowflakes are light, and the stock gears will get about a 1-1.5 mpg increase in hwy mileage. The only thing that would really matter is the price paid if represented as a true LSC, it might be worth a few more bucks. Otherwise, its pretty much a push. I have both stock and LSC models and never really noticed a discernable difference in handling with the increased dampening in the shocks. Don't know about the sway bars, never measured them. Maybe I should go in the garage and check. Naw.
