yes - it matters - there is a + and - to both the LED and CCFL halos

I tapped into the parking light leads

If it's running from the transformer you wire the postive(red) from the angel eye to the orange/white wire going to the parking lamp. The negative(black) wire from the angel eye should be hooked up to the black/blue wire going to the parking lamp.
