okay, my stupid fog light went out.
I'm thinking its just the bulb...

i have a 2000 lincoln ls v6 and i need the passenger side fog light BULB.
of course, none of the autoparts stores have them!! nothing new.

And another little one thats been bugging me. my "cooler" light went out. on the temp controls, the blue v button on the left side is out. (See attached pic)

has anyone replaced the bulb in the fog light? how hard is it?
the temp button, im sure i can take the cluster apart & do it myself. if not, oh well.

bulb is tight under the bumper you can reach it very easily and it turns like the headlight bulbs. very easy just reach under there and youll feel it

never replaced bulds in the dash - but have replaced many bulbs in the low-beam, high-beam, fogs....

I used the the highbeam bulb in the fog lights. I think it is the 9005, might be the 9006 i do not recall which is which, any way i bought the sylania silver stars and they look fantastic and really illuminate the area well.

right - I use a 9005 in the foglights (it should be a 9145) but it fits....

I found that the 9145s were hard to find in the stores. They do fit well and I have had no problems at all.

so for the fog lights, i should get 9145 or 9005. but would that look tacky if i have stock headlights?? i would think that gettig bright foglights would make the headlights seem way too yellow. should i replace the headlights with 9005's too? would the same bulbs be used in the headlights as the fog lights?

get 9005 they are for the headlights but they fit the fog lamps.

9006 are your low beams. I would replace the low beams at a minimum. I still have the stock High beams. I bought the sylvania silver stars and they produce a very nice light.
