i've been meaning to post this, but you dont need to register on flatratech & wait for a response to get a recall work history...
call the above#, give them your vin# they can tell you if the car has a good title, and what recall work was done & when.

really, carfax tells you where it was bought & when. but DONT RELY ON THEM!!! back when i was car shopping, there was one LS with a low price, low mileage...i almost bought that car from a private seller. carfax said it had a good clean title, but when i called the ford customer service#, they told me it had a salvaged title or something & the warranty had been voided!!!! so call ford, give em your vin number & whatnot, they will tell you the real truth!

well now that i've already bought my car and relied on carfax i'd be a little scared at what i might find out from ford....although i'm pretty sure my car was a peach..i went over it with a fine tooth comb and found nothing

Just to save you some time:
when you call the number, they will list options:

press 6 for Lincoln vehicles

once you've done that, press 2 for other info

you'll have to enter your 10 digit phone#

Then press 2 for all other info.

then hold tight & someone will be on the line shortly.

Another problem with Carfax, especially with older cars like the Mark VIII-

CarFax seems to indicate insurance claims, not all accidents.. Older cars usually don't have collision, so there is no insurance record of an accident.
