djknowledge December 18th, 2009, 03:17 PM other then the silver ls that had the intrax springs with a 1.75 inch drop, does anyone have a 03+ ls with the eibach springs ridin on 20s? would there be any rubbing issues? i have a pretty decent gap and would love to fill it in. i have 245 35 20s all around and i wanted to know if i would need to get sunthin like spring stiffeners to work. i also plan on gettin some 20mm spacers anyone know where i could get some or if this would interfere with the ride?
Lincoln Luebbe December 18th, 2009, 03:37 PM The offset of those rims is +49 mm supposedly any 245/35/20 should fit with Eibachs as long as there is +42 mm or above. If you put 20 mm spacers on that car the offset will become +29 and the wheels will not even clear the fender. Do not get spacers. Even without a drop the lowest offset you can go is like +38.
LitoLs has Sentas
Esalomander has Sentas
Another guy on here has them in chrome I think 01lssport
LSUNV2 had them with the Eibach kit I know for sure.
The guy with the silver LS with intrax springs is 02V8Sport. He has sold the LS and is not on here very often.
djknowledge December 18th, 2009, 04:21 PM so no rubbing? would a 5mm spacer do much of a difference, sorry for qall the questions just wanted to c

Dude I have 20mm spacers!! Buy em from me 75 shipped! Lug nuts included. PM me
Lincoln Luebbe December 18th, 2009, 06:27 PM Starfox, 20 mm spacers will put his wheels to a +29 mm offset...
They won't fit, that is what I have been trying to tell DJKnowledge. 20 mm spacers work great on the jag rims like you had, at least the front ones. They also work great on the LS stock rims because the offset is so high on them.
DJ, The problem with the LS is the stock offset is so high and it is designed to drive with a high offset rim. People are trying to get a high enough offset on the wheels they put on their LS so they can drop it without rubbing. Finding that perfect combo can be tough, DJ why do you want to go lower with an offset? I think the stock offset for the LS is like 60mm or something. So like I said, with a rim that has like a 60mm offset it would make sense to put a 20 mm spacer on it to make it set out a little more. But you are already at 49mm that is pretty close to as low as you can go with any type of drop. That is where the rubbing comes into play at least with 20's.
There are many guys on here who know way more than me. The point is for the specific rims you have I don't think you can go much lower than where you are with a drop. Even without a drop 20 mm spacers are going to have your wheels setting out so far they will be torn up by your fenders.
Do a search for 20 rims or spacers and see all the info that people have posted about it.
I hope this helps bro-
xford December 18th, 2009, 09:17 PM I have 20" Senta knockoffs from EuroTech with a 49MM offset and Eibachs on a 2006. Tires are 245x35x20. This setup is 1/2" larger in diameter than the stock 17" wheel/tire. I had a tiny bit of rubbing an big rolling dips at freeway speeds. Took a heat gun to the rubbing areas and it is about 99% resolved. Additionally, I had some rubbing on the drivers side front a full left wheel lock. Took the splash guard off and adjusted the fuel filter and fuel line and the rubbing stopped. It is my opinion the Senta's with 245x30x20 would most likely not rub at all without adjustment and do have a 1/2" smaller diameter than the stock 17" wheel/tire combo...you would just give up some ride comfort/cornering. Be aware that the 20" Senta's are a heavy wheel at around 58lbs (with tire) vs. 47lbs stock 17". So you will give up a little power and braking effectiveness. I think I read somewhere every pound of rotating weight equals 7lbs of non turning weight on the car.
djknowledge December 19th, 2009, 09:34 AM you got any pics of that setup i just want to see what it would look like
Alax7 December 19th, 2009, 01:36 PM +1
How are those replicas holding up?
djknowledge December 19th, 2009, 05:44 PM what do you mean like as in durability? if yes then they r pretty good ive hit some pretty bad potholes and nothin. strong as an ox on steroids. a little rougher on the ride but definitely turns heads cruisin down a 25 doin 15....cuz im just too cool.
xford December 19th, 2009, 06:39 PM Replicas are bulletproof and at $695 per set on eBay they are a steal. Wheel weight is an issue however and you feel it in the already weak braking power of the LS. I will post some pictures in the next day or so....

Are yours replicas or the real ones?
djknowledge December 20th, 2009, 02:34 PM replicas....getting the real ones would b nice but you would have to buy 4 of the front ones cuz the real rear 9.5s on the xk wont fit.
xford December 20th, 2009, 05:47 PM Here are some pics
Andrizzle December 20th, 2009, 06:33 PM Very nice white LS there.
Your sig says it is an LSE, but you have two-tone tails?
It is just an 06 right? Not 'technically' an LSE.
xford December 20th, 2009, 06:56 PM My sig is "2006 Lincoln LS Elite" which just means it came with the "Elite Package" (Nav, THX, Sunroof, 17" Chrome Wheels, etc.) no LSE were made in the 2006 model year.
Andrizzle December 20th, 2009, 07:02 PM Oh I thought the 'E' in LSE stood for just that?
And yea that is why I was asking.
Carry on!
Alax7 December 20th, 2009, 09:12 PM Thats is real nice, love how the sentas look on it. What color white are 03-05 because mine is white but looks more like the pearl white and the 06 white looks white white
LS Gator December 20th, 2009, 09:42 PM Those look awsome! What is the name of the company that makes the replicas and what did you search for on ebay? also does the stock lincoln center emblem fit right in?

HyeLifeLS December 20th, 2009, 10:29 PM That's beautiful!
Andrizzle December 20th, 2009, 10:57 PM I think the Senta style looks best on light colored LS's.
Silver/White the best for them.
Alax7 December 21st, 2009, 12:47 AM I think the Senta style looks best on light colored LS's.
Silver/White the best for them.
+1, they look super clean. They looked really good on lsunv2's red ls too. MAn if only they came in 18, even 19's
Lincoln Luebbe December 21st, 2009, 07:22 AM XFord you should enter LS of the Month! Very sharp and clean!!
pektel December 21st, 2009, 10:58 AM That's funny they are using 02V8Sport's pics in the auction.
I should buy some. Those are badasss.
Beautiful LS, xford.
Lito Ls December 21st, 2009, 01:02 PM thats a nice looking ls....
LS Gator December 21st, 2009, 06:56 PM Thanks for the info and the link. Looks like I may have another mod for the LS next month.;) What is the tire size you used? and what brand? And by the way that is one sexy looking car.:D

I have General Exclaim UHP tires in 245x35x20's. Good all around tire in the inexpensive price range and they weigh less than many others. If you dont want to mess with any adjustments for rubbing I would go with 245x30x20's. Less sidewall so your ride will be a little rougher but cornering will be improved. Tire Rack is a great resource to compare various tire specs.
LS Gator December 22nd, 2009, 09:37 PM We have a winner!! These are definitely the rims I'm going to get. It also looks like I am going with the 30s to prevent rub. I can deal with less ride quality being I am the only one in it 95% of the time.;)
Lito Ls December 23rd, 2009, 11:26 PM imma have to get some for my 04 now...i wanted to keep it stock but the sentas just keep it looking sporty and show a little bit of class at the same time.
01lssport December 24th, 2009, 11:44 AM I would be more than happy to sell you my chrome senta's.
djknowledge December 24th, 2009, 12:13 PM maybe he doesnt WANT ur chrome sentas!!!
Lucky_Ls December 26th, 2009, 07:20 AM That is one nice looking LS! I've been looking at newer LS's and that look with the white car and silver 20's is awesome!!!
If I do trade in my current LS for an 06 I'll consider parting with my 18's to get a set of those!
OhTreeLS January 25th, 2010, 09:14 PM It is my opinion the Senta's with 245x30x20 would most likely not rub at all without adjustment and do have a 1/2" smaller diameter than the stock 17" wheel/tire combo...you would just give up some ride comfort/cornering. I agree with you 100% on these statements. Those Sentas are heavy!
I received my Sentas last Friday from Eurotech and got them mounted and balanced on 255/35 Kumho Ecsta SPTs (I practically stole these from Tire Rack) the next day. I did a trial fitment and they rubbed at full lock with the wheel turned to the right. This was on the passenger side, as I only fitted one side. Once the winter weather has passed (give me a few months), I will install them and take it for a ride to find out if I experience any rubbing over bumps and the like. It looked very nice though, and I can't wait to put them on in the spring!
I expected to encounter a bit more rubbing than those who are running the 245/35s, as the 255/35 is just a wee bit taller. However, I wanted the sidewall to sit as square as possible with the wheel for an aggressive look.
xford, you have a PM. :)
sideshowstunna March 11th, 2010, 01:22 AM hey ohtree ls, have you bolted up all four corners yet with the 255s? reason i ask is because i just got a set of 255/35/20 nittos for free (working at a dealership has its perks haha) and was actually going to order up a set of eurotech repops, but i was sketchy on rubbing issues with a 255, any info you have for me would be appreciated.
OhTreeLS March 11th, 2010, 06:03 AM hey ohtree ls, have you bolted up all four corners yet with the 255s?
I actually installed them on Sunday. While idling, the fronts would rub the wheel liner when turning the steering wheel to full lock. However, I have not experienced any rubbing while driving. Go for the 255s!
Coworkers have been pretty receptive to them; I've been getting compliments this whole week with them.
M4rk March 11th, 2010, 12:17 PM My god, that's beautiful! That must be the best looking LS out there..
LsUnV2 March 11th, 2010, 07:59 PM they will rip your front driver fender off if you are taking a turn and hit a dip, like entering driveways and normal turns from street to street.. if you drive careful you will be fine if not move down to the 30 instead of the 35 , maybe u will have more luck then

which setup are you referring to? the 20s with 245 35 20 with a 1 inch drop from eibachs or....
OhTreeLS March 16th, 2010, 07:22 PM Finally snapped some decent pictures. Aside from purchasing a tuner, my mods for the LS are done.

Andrizzle March 16th, 2010, 07:25 PM Looks awesome dude.. Can you lower that bish!?
OhTreeLS March 16th, 2010, 07:31 PM Thanks man. I go back and forth with the lowering. I kind of don't want to :q:q:q:q with it, since it's my DD. I'm happy with the way it looks and sits now, but we'll see if that changes. :)
Alax7 March 16th, 2010, 10:00 PM Nice, real nice! You could use some tips. Those holes are super big for the size tips they came with stock
OhTreeLS March 17th, 2010, 11:30 AM Thanks Alax. The tips haven't bothered me yet, but I've had my eye on the Magnaflow Angled double wall tips in 3" or 3.5". I'd rather put some of that toward a tuner and CAI first, though. The shift points in this thing really annoy me, so I'd like to take care of that via a tune.
NYC LS8 March 17th, 2010, 11:32 AM Looks awesome, Oh!
OhTreeLS March 17th, 2010, 11:43 AM Thanks! I appreciate the compliments. It's nice for a change to quickly bolt on simple items and reap the aesthetic rewards.
rickztahone March 17th, 2010, 10:42 PM those wheels are by far on my top 3 list. car looks simple, clean and awesome all at the same time.
