My vent odor went away when i changed my air filter. But my car is smelly right now from the mats being wet.

great article Lou! Thanks for the post. I sent that around to a few frinds an family. We were all just bitchin about the home AC, allergies and all. Beyond the cabin air filter I did not really consider cleaning the other components like I have to do my home AC.

This could be the remedy to the common cold.

I have a 2000 LS purchased new and had the same problem for about 3 years. I know his sounds crazy but while having some other work done a very slight oil leak was discoverd at the over head pan gasket. They fixed it and the smell went away. There was never any noticable oil consumption or any drops below the car. But the smell went away.
