My girlfriend's son bought my Sedan Deville i had and when he came into the driveway this morning it was knocking real bad. he said his coolant light had been on 2 days and the knocking got worse. Why he would drive it like that, I don't have a clue. But i was filling up the EMPTY radiator when i noticed the coolant running out the back of the motor. I didn't have time to crawl under to see if it was a hose or what but the motor sounds bad now. What could he have done? Remember the radiator was bone dry. :bash:

Looks like the coolant leak was a rusty coolant pipe. We removed that and put in new 3/4 " heater hose. No leaks anymore. The knocking is gone also. The only thing is the lifters are making noise when it is cold. I think he lucked out.
