Hey everyone, nice day out yesterday in the chicago area and was outside kinda looking at all the details for my car and getting ideas for things. Any kind of way to get a hold of a chrome stabilizer strut bar or a complete carbon fiber V8 engine cover? just thought that would set the engine off right when you opened the hood...let me know....

The LS has a stock tower stablizer already - it's underneath the plastic cowel.

I added one for the 'look' -made if from two different ones I ordered off e-bay.

Small World Angelo, you are literally in my backyard.... Plainfield...

Hey Quik, did that CIA really make a difference or is it more cosmetic?

- the CAI made a +13rwhp difference

- the heat shield box that feeds from the hood scoop made another +3rwhp (on dyno) I suspect it makes more when I'm actually driving in the air....

that has to be the best bang for the buck without a doubt.

close - the SCT XCalibrator aggressive tune is giving me +19rwhp as well - $325 - and onlt took me 10mins to load.... (once we got the weeks of testing out of the way...)

the stock LSes are reporting about 14rwhp gain for a better tune.

So the XCalibrator certainly takes less time and costs less - but you never get to see it under the hood....

W/ the CIA, any issues w/ the dealership honoring the manufacturer warranty?

Also, what CIA is that and where can it be purchased from?

Thanks

Nope - unless they can prove it caused the issue they can't mess with the warranty. They can charge you extra labour if they have to deal with something that is different than stock. The CAI bolts into the same stock holes.

I bought two off e-bay (one for an RX7 and one for a Q35) and had to do some drilling, cutting and bending.
