Sorry if this is in the forum somewhere else (i did some searches and didn't find it), but for those of you who have removed/replaced your transmission, what is the procedure for removing or unhooking the driveshaft?

I expected there to be a slip joint either at the trans yoke or in the driveshaft to give me some play and to remove the coupling. Everything is tight right now. Also, I have read that you want to mark the coupling to line it back up.

It is a 2001 v6 ls.
