I'm just curious as to the differences.. pros/cons of the'01-'02 vs the '03 - up..

Essentially the cars are the same but POWER (30hp) and a bunch of other nice improvements too --is what you get for 03.

true that the 03+ have 280hp vs the pre-03 at 252hp - but a few bolt-ons and you can get them pretty similar.


many LS owners that own both have noted that even through the 03+ has someinterior improvements somewhere they lost a little 'driver feel' and the the pre-03 seem more connected to the road. Only matters if your looking for more sport than lux.

There were over 500 changes to the LS from 2002 to 2003...

thats a good few changes for a year. I drove a few different ls's before I got my '02. I just like the look and feel to them more than the others. Power was nice in either because I had only driven cars w/ much less like my '88 cavalier z24 2.8L v6 (fun car), '97 cavalier couple 2.2 slow, '03 cavalier couple 2.2 eco (nice engine for an econobox, good power). And than there was those 5 months or whatever that I had a '94 eclipse 1.8L :slam , 92 ground pounding HP and like 105 Lbs. of monsterous(sp) torque. Hey, wanted a second car that was good on gas lol.
