Resizing photo?

Can anyone tell me how to resize a photo for this site.. It keeps saying my images are too large.

just download any free photo editing software off the internet. i use photoscape. its a alright program for being free.

gimp is like photoshop but FREEE

Outlook Express and Windows live mail have a feature for this.
Right click on a photo then go to send to, then mail recipient.
The software will ask you if you want windows to make your picture smaller.
Click yes and it will come up attached to an email at 30-60kb.
Click file and go to save attachments.
Save attachments in folder.
You can do 1 pic like this or whole albums.
That's all I do to post pics here.
