My boss's 93 Mark 8 needs it's sunroof gasket replaced. The one on the car has shrunk and it leaks if left out in the rain. He tells me he contacted Ford about the part, but the dealership was unable to get it.

The steering rack has also gone bad and is leaking fluid. He tells me this is rack #4 on the car, and they have failed roughly every 10k miles. The car now has like 54k or thereabouts. Is this a common problem, or has he just been getting junk racks or something?

my sunroof also seems to leak, under high pressure in car washes - is this a common problem?
