On my 88' ford f150 with a 5.0 the idle revs high when I put the clutch in. It goes to about 4 grand. I can tap it down usually but sometimes when I do it races even higher. When its in gear alot of the time it will hold a high rev and kinda keep itself at speed to about 30mph. But other times it will drive great anybody got any idea's please its really hard on gas to drive it this way thanks.

Huh. it's only clutch related? I was going to say maybe clean the TB and check the cable.

no i wouldn't say clutch but when I put the clutch in thats when the load on the motor goes away and I can notice the high rev.
