I have a '90 Mark VII and have replaced the front air bags twice and the compressor once.

I am seriously considering converting to coil springs.

Has anyone done this or have a recommended method or kit?

Thank You.

i did it with an arnott kit way back when and had a problem with the rear sitting low, they give spacers as a bandaid to fix this, that was unnacepptable so they sent me some used springs that did the work.

I like the air ride but if you do a search you can use tbird parts, make your own cups, or just keep the air ride. Its a nice system when its working correctly.

i used the arnott kit on my mark 7 and mark 8. They both ride a bit firmer then the air suspension. I havent had any problems with sagging on either car, and they have both been converted for 2 years now. Easy job to do, especially on the 7

I'm sure you can get all you need from Eddie at American Air Suspension.

Eddie is the best when it comes to Ford Air Ride ... plus his service is unmatched in the business. www.americanairsuspension.com

If you go with any other company then you get what you buy ...

Eddie Sells Strutmaster conversions but he warranties it longer than Arnott will there's and longer than Strutmasters do if you buy from them.

I've purchased a lot from Eddie and deal with him often ... he's the best...

Damn OEM front air springs! I only got 40,000 miles and 22 years out of them!

I recommend Strutmasters. I did the conversion on all four springs and was very pleased with the results. A little firmer ride yes but reliable.
