How do I get the shifter off? micahs97m8 October 4th, 2009, 04:25 PM you can remove the console without removing the shifter. If you must, you need to slide the plastic right below the leather downward. once it slides down, you will see 2 torx screws. Thats all that holds the handle down. Are you sure you have the console loose? Did you get the 2 screws behind the rear defrost button and the 2 inside the console storage box? Yep I got all those. micahs97m8 October 4th, 2009, 04:53 PM i'll go double check. I needed to remove the console on the new parts car anyway :D micahs97m8 October 4th, 2009, 05:18 PM I forgot a couple steps. The easiest way to get it out is to remove that metal piece in front of the shifter. http://i561.photobucket.com/albums/ss55/micahsfamily/022-2.jpg Then remove the 2 clips at the back of the shifter. I totally forgot about them. :D http://i561.photobucket.com/albums/ss55/micahsfamily/023-2.jpg http://i561.photobucket.com/albums/ss55/micahsfamily/024-2.jpg GMAN October 4th, 2009, 05:50 PM I got it out now. I totally forgot about the two snap tabs on the rear of the shifter.:p | |||||
