Motorad Tstat at 160 rating. sho89mtx February 28th, 2005, 09:34 PM Autolite 764 copper plugs gapped at .048. Motorad Tstat at 160 rating. are the spark plugs as hard to change as they were in my 99 t/a? There was one that took literally 2 hours to pull out and change, it was a whore an half! ONEBADMK8 February 28th, 2005, 09:46 PM NO WAY. I do these on Gen 2's in 10 minutes (ask Jamler, he couldnt belive it). Gen 1's is about 15 minutes. F-Bodies SUCK to change!! brentalan February 28th, 2005, 10:13 PM I'll second that, I did them in my car, (GEN2). I am by no means a mechanic, but the hardest part was the gapping! gadget73 February 28th, 2005, 11:18 PM Most GM passenger cars suck to do plugs on. Back ones on the passenger's side right where the heater core/evap case lives especially. I always change them via the wheel well with a long extension. Jamler3 February 28th, 2005, 11:47 PM NO WAY. As long as you coil boots aren't cracked. Even with E-Taping all coil boots, Geno was done in 10 minutes... ERIC1 March 1st, 2005, 06:40 AM hey you need to tell me what you guys did over there with spark plugs and taping the bbots whats that about? Eric ONEBADMK8 March 1st, 2005, 07:55 AM WHen I did Jamlers plugs he had cracked boots. I used rubber tape to fix them all. It works forever you just have to seriously prep them first. I also unshrouded the spark plugs and ran a .048 gap. Tapping? Ask Jamler? I am clueless. ERIC1 March 1st, 2005, 08:14 AM WHen I did Jamlers plugs he had cracked boots.
