Talking on the phone I put water into the Power steering section instead of the windshield washer,so my question is what fluid do I need to replace it with,any power steering fluid,or special ford one?and how where is the pump located,i cant find it even following the hose.:confused:

Did you start it after putting the water in? If, not you should be able to pump out the offending liquid, and a little (talking tiny amount here) residue will boil out. How much water did you put in? Was it really water or windshield fluid?
Ford uses ATF in the power steering. I use Mobil 1 ATF.
the pump is tucked under the front of the motor.
