Hi,

I have 1.5 lower coil suspension and my car was making creaking/sweaking noise and a cluking noise when I hit bumps on the driver rear side. It also was sitting a half an inch lower on the drivers rear side.

I did a search and found that it might be the rear shocks. So I bought Monroe Senatracks #5965. Found out the drivers rear mounts were shot. So I replace the drivers and passagener side last night. I took the old rubber off the shock mounts and used the new mounts with the kit. I did not use the little metal tube that the old rubber was on. Should I reuse them and slide them in between the new rubber? And which washer, from the new kit, goes on top and bottom? I used the smaller gold one with groves on top and the larger silver smoother one on bottom.

So I lower the car and the car is still making creaking/sweaking noise when I drive or push down on it and it is still sitting a half an inch lower on the drivers rear side. But cluking noise is gone when I hit bumps on the driver rear side.

What is still wrong. I checked the coil and other suspension bushings and everything looks good.

First of all you need to let the springs settle, this will take a few weeks. The creaking could be coming from worn bushings. Im sure someone else will chime in on that.

the 1.5 lowered kit might have some of the components running "at or close" to the design limits.
which will put bushings and components under more stress

I'd check the rear control arm bushings again.
You might have to un bolt the lower shock bolt to expose the looseness

Make sure you installed the springs properly:

1. Did you put the rubber isolator mats under the springs like you're supposed to?

2. Are the springs sitting with the flat side up like they're supposed to?

3. Are the springs rotated into the proper position? (You said one side sits higher than the other, so I'd say this is the culprit).

+1 here make sure you have the rubber isolator mat ... if not need to get one for each spring.

Hows the rear sway bar?
