Looking for one for my 97 Gen 2. I have a horrible squeaking when i turn the wheel back and forth going slow such as into driveways and parking lots. 67k miles and everything looked pretty good last oil change when i was under it.

Steering rack and or lower ball joints been checked lately? Jack up each front wheel one at a time and see if you can shake the tire back and forth. Mine was doing the same thing and I changed out racks and lower ball joints and now it feels like someone got under the front end and tightened up ever nut and bolt.
Not sure about the 97 but my 94 was not an easy swap at all. I think I would rather do an IAC instead of that again.

Yeah, rack replacement sux. I had a similar creaking noise when turning the wheel as slow speeds. It was my passenger side ball joint (lower), put your hand on it while having someone turn the wheel to recreate the noise. You should be able to feel it.

Sounds good, i'll see if i can feel the part thats making the noise, it almost sounds as some wd40 or something would cure it. *shrug*

WD 40 will cure it, but in a short time the ball joint will seperate.
We lubed tiffanys creaking ball joint and within a week.. it failed.
REPLACE the ball joints.
Likely it's the lowers, which are stupid easy to replace
