Anyone have a good air ride or suspension guy who is familiar with Conti air ride in the Toronto area? My drivers front is leaking, and now I think the compressor is going or gone. It starts up sometimes and other times all you get is the warning light, and no pump noise. The car is a 95, and the other 3 are solid based on a Ford diagnostic, so it's probably worth repairing.
Thanks

I don't know of anyone who is in Toronto but Eddie Spinks of American Air Suspension may be able to support you ...
Check out his web page and go through the trouble shooting pages

Thanks Spock. I went through that checklist and nothing bang on BUT one was close. The Ford dealer check found a "loose" harness they said had no effect on the performance. However in that checklist, they mention a bad wire in the harness which is pretty close. The other thing I am thinking of is just a compressor dying. Yesterday it didnt come on at all and immediately on startup first warning was to check ride control. For a week or so it came on during starup but then wouldnt engage during the ride and the light came on. So still not sure if I should get the harness repaired and hope for the best - or - get a new compressor which is a gamble if the old one is ok.

Thanks Hotrod, I probably wont use em for ride control but certainly shop for other parts I need. Mespock, you are sooo right on the mark. Eddie at American AS is the best! He spent a lot of time with me, and I will be buying from him in the future. What I finally did was to go to a 2nd Ford Dealer and totally lucked out. I figured a second diagnostic fee/opinion was worth it, and for well under 200 bucks it's all done and this car has never ridden better. I had no idea how neat air ride is, after 2 years just assuming it was harsh. Anyway the dealer noted that there is a small leak in one (which I already knew), but the other one was cracking. So when I have the budget I will buy 2 fronts from Eddie and in good time replace the front bags. The second thing I learned during this episode was that some Ford dealers realy know this stuff, while others (my first diagnostic), ...don't.
