how does the LS V8 sound with an exhaust? does it have the throaty ballsy sound to it because i know its a rare engine so im curious if i should leave it or try to give it some sound and more air?

Great sound potential from the car. Most is muffled by the long skinny pipes with many bends.

well is it like the classic V8 sound to it or is it more unique sounding like anything else?

depends on what setup. There is lots of volume pre cats. But i guess from there it all depends on mufflers, resonators, pipes, tips...

you can get a range from a nice softer lux to a load mustang - mostly effected by the mufflers.

there are a couple of threads on this ->

I still disagree with it being the mufflers, because with stock piping and no mufflers it still isn't loud.(2000-2002)

well going from 2.25" to 2.5" piping couldn't have made that much of a difference. Maybe removing the resonators did.

I still disagree, the bigger diameter piping, and all those little press bends... I remobed my resonators and left piping and removed mufflers and still quiet. I wish i recorded the sound when i did that.

nothing to disagree with - I never did the exhaust in pieces so I can't tell you for sure which pieces seperately did what for pwer and sound...
