CrackerJack August 16th, 2009, 10:19 PM So I finally make it to the damned car show an hour away after work with an hour left... super gay #1.... Then, I forget to buy my R-134a, gay #2, so I go to oreilley down the road and they want $9.59 a BOTTLE!!!! screw that! drive 6 miles to walmart get it for $5 a bottle grab 2 just in case. Driving to my lake place to get my A/C fixed by my uncle... go up a steep hill and my check engine starts FLASHING OMFG IM SOOO PISSED NOW!!! pull over, restart and its still there, I feel a little jitter from the engine when in slow rpm revs, I think a misfire...
I call my uncle after getting some gas and he will bring his new scan tools when we change my A/C. Perfect! Get there, take 3 mins to find the damned OBD2 port hiding up there, and find WALLAH! Cyl #2 misfire! :D not. Clear it, recharge my A/C that was 10 PSI LOW! and its all good now. On way home my damned tranny starts acting up because my cylinders are like, confused or something so I drive 90 miles with a mis fire and no CEL on, make it home and type this up.
Although I did find out my uncle's scan tools the "Genisys" can program spare keys, tell you how to repair problems, tell you what the code means, and run diagnostics tests...
How has your day been?
craigh August 16th, 2009, 10:44 PM Aren't you glad it didn't happen yesterday when we met?
It was great to meet you yesterday and I'm sorry to hear about your problem. I had a similar misfire problem on a trip to Brainerd once. Pulled into NAPA and bought some SeaFoam and some other injector cleaner. I made it home without the CEL on but eventually had to replace the COP. Good luck with this!

PetesSweets86 August 17th, 2009, 03:33 AM not bad man, not bad
but since I've been out of the computer league and not in any tech classes since 2005 I just decided to custom build from the guys I've heard a lot about in my old Xbox magazines and Game Informer back in the day :-D
Their sh*t is pretty good plus I wanted as fast of a computer as possible under 1000k cause I go through computers every 3years
I've blown a 300gig harddrive and a motherboard within a year on just 1 old dell which I bought in 2007 after college graduation
Silver_LS August 17th, 2009, 09:44 AM When I was building mine I looked all over and I thought Ibuypower was over priced for alot of stuff. Newegg had the better deals, and I've used them for my last 3 builds.
So CrackerJack, are you replacing all 8 or just the 1 cylinder thats missing?

Amateurs. If I can get a camera past security into one of our facilities I'll get you a picture of some real computing power. I may be able to if I tell them it is for marketing purposes.
WhoBeDaPlaya August 17th, 2009, 11:38 AM Well, I do have access to a couple of clusters housed a floor below my office :p
