What are the advantages to having a cobra intake.

what are IMRC's?

Intake Manifold Runner Controls. The heads on the markviii, and the older cobra's had a secondary intake port. While below 3000 rpm, they remain closed, and low speed torque is enhanced. above that, they snap open and allow more high rpm breathing.

The cobra manifold really won't help in a STOCK mark. It reduces tourque output down low. But with the 4.10's you would'nt notice it, but up in the rev band you will.

Picked it up yesterday. Jeremi took a short drive in my 5 speed Mark, and I took his home The hid's are awesome, and SMOKE the halogens out of the friggin water. They needed aimed up a bit, so I did that on the side of the road. I did'nt get flashed so were all good there. The heated seats are one of the neatest features of this car that I can think of, (well other than the cobra intake and the 4:10's)

Out on the highway the combination of the exaust, rear gears, and the cobra intake SMOKED my dad in the 94, we punched it from a 70 mph roll, and the 95 just kept walking away. I shut it down at 120 and it was still climbing hard.

Thank you jeremi for the opportunity to own one hell of a Mark

Go to the last page for the most recent pictures.

These pics are getting dated now. Ive gotten quite a bit detailed, and have a leather shift boot on the console.
