So a couple of months ago my pass side door handle broke so i took it out to replace it. i finally got a new door handle a couple days ago and today i went outside to put it on and i forgot how i took it out and how to put it back in, lol i know how sad. so i did a search but could not find any tech article or anything one how to install is so can anyone tell me?

A helpful tip if you don't mind mangling the inner door panel a bit - I couldn't manage to manipulate the linkage rods without removing a small section of metal with an angle grinder.

It'll make some sharp edges on the metal, which I simply covered with 2 or 3 layers of duct tape.

But that's just me, I couldn't care less what the inner door looks like after this project, so long as the new handles were in. And it'll make your life alot easier!

I did mine (both sides) back in March, a truly miserable job-good luck.

Man I am not sure how you had to do it but I had mine done in 1/2 hour.. just pop the tab on the lower assembly and the rod everyone seems to have a problem with will just slide out from the bottom and then place back in it original position and close the tab to lock it back in then bolt up.

Maybe my hands are too damn big :D?

Part of the problem was that the yellow tabs broke when I went to pop them off (with a flat screwdriver). I had to use a zip-tie on both sides to hold the rod to the remnant of the yellow tab. Also the lock-rod was a real bugger to line up properly.

The way I did mine isn't professional, or pretty - but it made the job easier - and the finished product works.
