How fast do you want it to go?
How much do you want to spend?

Well you are not going to get more speed with an K&N and Exhaust ... You'll gain some HP but nothing that will show maybe 25 more HP but you will not feel it. Maybe better MPGs...

Remember a Conti was not designed to be a sports car but a luxury cruiser. The target buyer was not someone who wanted speed but luxury and a need for Power on the highway for a nice smooth ride.

You could feel a little more power with a chip because a chip may change how the car shifts. With my SCT chip I can get some nice scratches in 2nd gear that I don't gear with my stock program. But I don't know what's out there for a Conti.

You need to get at least 100 or more HPs before you are really going to notice anything.

If you want real speed you need to change something that is going to send the power to the wheels.

Gears are fairly cheap and will change where your power is used ... either in the lower gears or the higher gears. Many people who race their cars want the power in the lower gears off the line. But if you are on the highway more you may want that power at the top end for passing on the highway and get better MPGs.

NO2 is the cheapest power but I don't think that's what you want to do. Because if you don't race your car why would you need it.

Turbo or Super Charge is other power. Expensive but good power that you could show off your car's power. It may cost you a bit more than $2000 but you are close ... and again I'm not sure what's out there for a Cont. and a FWD car.

Well their is a list of stuff you can do. You got the air filter but you can get the high flow maf from Lincoln motor sports on here, take off the air silencer also. You can have custom headers made, yes they will fit, front 2 cats pulled, when you pulled the third cat you needed dual ran to the back with a double x over in it. Exhaust is gonna run you a bit, every thing must be hand made because of the lack of space. also some new cams, a shift kit, and dyno time and a tune, and a port and polish. Cams will probalby run you 12-1500, headers in the 1500 range, exhaust 250-500, dyno time and tune 450-550, P&P 500-1000. Also if you nos you won't be able to run it in first gear, your gonna need a window mount switch that starts if off in second.

sounds good i will get the x pipe and dual put in but i didnt get the first two cats out because they had o2 sensors and i felt it was best to leave them alone. is there somthing i can do about that? and where is the air silencer located?

When i had the cats removed i just had the o2 sensors put back in, had the 3rd one shut off with the tune. Air silencer is in the front drivers wheel well, inbetween the front bumper and tire. I wouldn't bother with the front 2 cats unless your gonna get crazy with it :) And buy the maf from geno, you can hard pipe the new filter it comes with right into the wheel well where the air silencer was.

Don't forget to buy a new tranny and sit it in your garage for when you blow this one :)

You can message him, ONEBADMK8, or click on the lincoln motor sports link on the home page. Probably better to message him.
