i got a problem, i have a 2004 ls v8 with thx -- the issue is that when i accelerate i get a noise comming from the rear. now the first thing i thought was that it was alternator noise coming through the speakers so i pulled the 3 fuses for the radio to turn it off and then i unplugged the connectors for the rear amp so it was totally unplugged and also the amp for the door speakers and then took it on a test drive and eavery time i accelerate i get a whinning noise, i took all the car all the way up to 80mph but if i let go of the gas the sound goes away.. could it be my diff, or is it something else?

i jacked the car up today and found out that it was my differential. do you guys know how much a diff would cost me.
