Basically the first weekend with the Mark

So I bought the thing back in November and most of the spring it was at my buddies place having the front end rebuilt so this past weekend was basically the first weekend I had to play and work on the car. So many things to look at and work on I didn't know where to start.
I decided to to install the 18" rims and get them balance - I had put them on in November to check them out and they drove horrible. So out of balance - OR SO I THOUGHT! I took the rims to get balanced and the guy tells me that the centering rings are not right for the car - they are for the rims but not the car. Shows me how much play there is. I had noticed this when I put them on but it quickly left my mind. Then he shows me that the front rim is bent. The friggin thing can't have more than 500 miles on it and it is bent. Damn potholes!!! I just can't understand how the previous owner could drive the car like that. It was soooo horrible - Seroiusly! So this week I am having custom machined aluminum spacers made and the rim straightened. !Que la chinga!
I did get the ASHAM8 installed though. What a slick device. What a bear to install though. The wiring changes are tucked way up under the dash. I removed the pass seat and laid in there and barely got my 6'5 frame and massive hands in there. Took forever. But well worth it. So cool the way it works.

Getting the custom center rings made tomorrow. This guy says the rim isn't bent enough to fix so he's going to swap it from the front to the rear.:(
$25 per ring!! which is not bad at all but still....

btw. thanks for the Kudos
