I knew it would come eventually, but didn't want it to. :(

Don't think of it as a bad thing.
It's merely a change of life.
Embrace the mileage. Every day is victory. You're saving money every mile you drive. And with a Mark VIII, you've just now broken that car in.

Enjoy the car.
You've got many years left.

That means your car actually gets driven. It's a badge of honor :)

I'll be passing the 200k mark in the coming few months.

Never owned a Mark VIII with less than 118,000 miles ... Don't own one with less than 170,000 miles now ...

celebrate and push for 200,000 ... those will be all your own ..

I fail...

None of my vehicles have 170K miles on them...

The 03 F250 is getting damned close though. I think it's at 165K?

Im looking forward to 200000!!!! I know I should try to keep the miles low....but for a Mark that is like putting it in prison...just not good!!!

The only time I ever got upset over my milage was when my frist mark reached 75,000 - no longer under warrenty! lol that sucked cause I was taking him back for everything...new silver trim in the molding...minor oil leaks, I pimped that dealership for all I could .... ahhh the good old days....

Drive it baby!!!!! Thats what they do best!

My 98 just turned 97000 today. Now I'll just drive my jeep for a while to keep her below the magic 6th digit:cool:

I was actually proud to tell people that my 92 Conti had 286k miles on it, and the only things I really had to replace (except for the usual) were the engine mounts, air ride and power steering pump. :)

69,500 on the Mark and 35k on her forester. I've only had it a few months and i work 10 minutes from my house. The parts cars have 155k and 180k and the Laforza project is at 108k.

164K in 2005 and now 182K in 2009. I don't keep mine out on the streets but it still runs smooth as it should. I can't say that for the transmission but that's all soon to change this month. Out with the 94 and in with the 98 with 60K on it.

I think the 98 Mark has 91 or 92, not sure....haven`t even looked at the thing in two weeks. CHEVY TRUCKS,91 black 165 or so, 93 pace 160 or so, 93 maroon close to 170, 95 black 136, 97 white almost 127.

My '96 has 182K showing on the odo. But the odo was replaced several years ago at 102K. Which means mine actually has 284K on it. Still running super strong and getting 24mpg every day. I also have a 1994 Explorer 4 door 4x4 with 130K and another '94 Explorer 2 door 2wd 5-speed with 189K on it. I'll drive 'em all till the wheels fall off! Cuz I can't afford a new one.
