Posi-TracBeatingU February 14th, 2005, 07:57 PM The Mark VIII's that came from the factory with traction control wern't avalible with the Trac-Loc rear end. In the owners manual it list that the trac-loc axel was only available is the car was not equiped with traction control. I think this is because the traction control uses the abs to control the rear axel adn if it were the limited slip or trac-loc it would be extremely bad for the clutchs in the differential. Jack it up and spin a tire, if the other one goes the same way then its a posi. If it turns the opposite way then its not.
